The Sun restrained it’s light today to salute the passing of President Carter from this sphere?

Happiest day, beloved Joy Train Rider! Oh, how I love you!

I am sending out the energy and vibration of deep love and peace as I experience it from interacting with others and with nature. Especially in this holiday season, it is a pleasure to welcome friends old and new. Making time for others is a key ingredient to staying vibrant and optimistic, and I hope that you are enjoying something similar in your circle.

May God rest the soul of our beloved former President Jimmy Carter, who departed this realm Sunday, December 29. My heart is full of love and appreciation for him and his beloved wife, former First Lady Rosalyn Carter. I feel that they showed the world the highest potential of love and dedication to the human race and the world. WELL DONE!

The Carters’ grandson Jason has been assiduous in publicizing their legacy, which is another marker of success. When generations coming up behind you value your efforts, take pride in your example and want to advance things, I can tell you from experience that there are few better feelings. Our beloved grandchildren Yero and Sydnee make us super proud with their conservation efforts.

So I’m delirious to be able to take you today to visit The Jimmy Carter National Historical Park in Plains, Georgia, via Wikipedia and the National Park Service. It preserves sites associated with Jimmy Carter (1924–2024), 39th president of the United States. These include his residence, boyhood farm, school, and the town railroad depot, which served as his campaign headquarters during the 1976 election.

How exciting is it that we have this formative part of his life, and their lives together, that can help us answer the question:

WHAT MADE THE CARTERS SUCH AWESOME PEOPLE?

Joy Train Guest conductor Bethany Powell “touching” the rainbow that came to salute her when she and beloved Peter visited us on the eve of her birthday.

In this state of buffoonery where our “leadership” is shamelessly subverting our Constitution and flagrantly flinging hate, the loving, calm, helpfulness of the Carters is a lesson we urgently need to learn and emulate. Oh the grace!

Our National Park System gives us this opportunity. I love to emphasize that the System contains the places and genuine things that helped shape our country, and going back long before there was a “United States of America.” I don’t understand why it gets so little recognition. More than 325 million people from all over the world visited the 433 places in the system in 2023, but many do not make the link to our Nation’s evolution and environment.

Here we are at the Visitor Center, which was originally Plains High School that the former President attended. It opened in 1921 and closed in 1979. This museum features a classroom, the principal's office, and auditorium restored to look like when young Jimmy Carter attended.

This is an exact replica of the “Resolute Desk” which President Carter brought back to the Oval Office to use as his presidential desk. There’s his 2002 Nobel Peace Prize! Wow!!

We can tour these personal rooms and see how simply they lived and watch the video about their lives. I LOVE this story that the former President often told about the day they moved into their new home on the farm in Archery:
